The performance “i”, prepared together with Šeiko Dance Company, was nominated for the Klaipeda City Theater Award “Thanksgiving Mask”.

“Thanksgiving Mask” is a special award, awarded since 2005 on the occasion of the International Theater Day, for the achievements of theater artists in Klaipeda and for the most important works of the year and the most important events in theatrical life. The author of the idea for the award is director Alvydas Vizgirda. The winners will be announced on March 26.

“i” – work by Maciej Kuźmiński in his third collaboration with the director Paul Bargetto offers an existential meditation on the near and distant future, dream logic, and infinity. Balancing between the performing and visual arts, the piece conjures a house of mirrors constructed of an inner, infinite self, where crossing the boundaries of mortality and perception become the ultimate goal of existence. Inspired by the science fiction of Michel Houellebecq and the philosophical writings of Gilles Deleuze, the piece touches on themes of trans humanism, evolution, and genetic memory.
