Monika Witkowska, graduated from E. J. Dalcroze Eurhythmics Section of National Secondary Music School in Czestochowa and Physical Theatre Studio at Silesian Dance Theatre. Student at AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow, Dance Theatre Department in Bytom. In 2015 she held scholarships at Dance Department of Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany and at Dance Theatre Department of Kibuttzim College of Education in Tel Aviv, Israel. She took part in research project focused on exploring Pina Bausch repertoire (project created through cooperation between Pina Bausch Foundation and Folkwang University). Currently co-creator of Vagabond Physical Collective – informal artistic collective created by graduates of the Dance Theatre Department in Bytom.

Finalist at Solo Dance Contest at Gdansk Dance Festival and 32. International Competition for Choreographers in Hannover performed solo I fought Piranhas choregraphed by Maciej Kuźmiński. With her own solo Für Roman won the main prize Best Short Dance Piece at 10. International Competition of Young Dance Performers OPUS 1 in Slovenia. She performed in: Przejścia (chor. Jacek Łumiński), Archipelago (chor. Maciej Kuźmiński), Bal w operze (dir. Jerzy Stuhr), We_selle (chor. Wojciech Mochniej), Lorem Ipsum (Vagabond Physical Collective, dir. Paweł Urbanowicz), Honoring Intuition (chor. Colleen Thomas), Sonic body (dir. Henrik Kaalund), LET IT BE – pobyt zorganizowany (dir. Agnieszka Bednarz), POPRA-WINY – na co to komu? (dir. Anna Piotrowska), Why not? (dir. Roberto Olivan) shown as postworkshop performance. Guest collaboration in performances: We are not superheroes (Ruchomy Kolektyw, dir. Kamil Wawrzuta) and Bezdech (chor. Sylwia Hefczyńska-Lewandowska).
